On Monday Weekly Shonen Jump Vol 8 by Shueisha (Japan) and WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP by Viz (US) were released simultaneously.
This is a huge achievement for both parties and much appreciated by readers.
"North American manga fans will no longer have to wait to be able to read their favorite manga after they are released in Japan; for the first time, they will be able to read them on the same day as fans in Japan."

This is great news for those in North America, but what about the rest of us?
The rest of the world has no "legal" means to read manga series from Weekly Shonen Jump as soon as they are released in Japan. So although this is a huge step forward in the right direction this will leave many unhappy people worldwide.
