Kurokuroku started in volume 35 of Weekly Shonen Jump and is the first serialised work of manga author Atsushi Nakamura.
I had mixed feelings after reading the first chapter of Kurokuroku. The plot seems fun and has plenty of gag elements, however it does not seem to have any goal or endgame. What I mean is, for example, the main objective in One Piece is for Luffy to get the treasure One Piece and become the Pirate King; for Naruto it would be to save the world and become Hokage.
However this series has no main goal, thus I can only assume that it would be a kind of shonen gag manga like Gintama; where there are some fighting or action parts but mostly gag parts.
As always, whether this series stays in Weekly Shonen Jump or not all depends on the Japanese readers. So we just have to wait and see whether Kurokuroku's punchlines are good enough.
