New Series Kamisama no Iutoori 2 by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Akeji Fujimura

Kamisama no Iutoori 2 started in volume 7 of Weekly Shonen Magazine, however Part 1 was published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from February 2011 to November 2012.
As the series was popular in the monthly magazine it was moved to the weekly edition of Shonen Magazine.

Part one
Takahata Shun's day at high school begins just as normal and boring as ever, but it doesn't end that way. After his teacher's head explodes, he and his classmates find themselves forced to play children's games, such as Daruma ga Koronda (a game like Red Light/Green Light), with deadly stakes. With no idea who is behind this mysterious deadly game session, and no way of knowing when it will finally end, the only thing Shun and other students can do is keep trying to win.

Part one ended with a unbearable good cliffhanger, "Shun flew too close to the sun".
Most people assumed that the second part would continue from where part one left off, however instead it started the story again but from another characters point of view.

Part Two
Akashi and Aoyama, promised each other to be footballs (soccers) world number one passer and striker.
However at the start of one seemingly normal high school day both argue about their future and career choices which lead to Akashi skipping school completely.
While Akashi spends his day playing games in the arcade and trying to come up with an apology to his best friend; that very friend Aoyama is trying his best to stay alive with the deadly games Daruma ga Koronda and more.
Later when Akashi reaches the school to what should be the end of the school day. Instead of seeing students leaving school, he sees heavily armed police storming the school, a giant cat's head, and his friend Aoyama covered in blood.
Later on that day, Akashi finds out that not even he can escape from these horrific games when a statue of Ninomiya Kinjiro with a bin on his back comes ringing at his door. What lies instore for Akashi? Does Aoyama survive the rest of the games? We can only wait and see.
If you read the first part then you will see that part two is set to answer some questions and fill in any gaps in the story.
I expect that we will see Shun again when the new story catches up with part one.
