UQ Holder! started in issue 39 of Weekly Shonen Magazine by the creator of Love Hina and Negima!, Ken Akamatsu. Akamatsu has mention that this will be his last series before he retires.
First of all, UQ holder takes place almost a century after the events of Negima!
In the first few chapters of UQ Holder! we meet Touta Konoe and we learn of his dreams and ambitions of going to the Capital and fulfilling a promise. We also re-encounter Evangeline A.K. McDowell the British pure blooded vampire, who is known to Touta as Yukihime.
