Shonen Anime - Spring 2014

Haikyu!!- 6th April
Junior high school student Shōyō Hinata gains a sudden love of volleyball after seeing a national championship match on TV. Although short in height, he becomes determined to follow in the footsteps of the championship's star player, nicknamed the "Small Giant", after seeing his plays. He creates a volleyball club and begins practicing by himself. Eventually five other members join the team by his last year of middle school, but they are defeated in their first tournament after being challenged by the championship favorite team, which includes the so-called "King of the Court" Tobio Kageyama, in the first round. Though Hinata's team suffers a miserable defeat, he vows to eventually surpass Kageyama and defeat him.

Baby Steps - 6th April
 Eiichiro Maruo, a first year honor student, one day decides he is unhappy with the way things are and lacks exercise. He finds a flier for the Tennis Club and decides check it out. He is instantly captivated by it. With no prior experience and poor physical conditioning, he embarks on a tennis journey using his smarts, dedication and work ethic. He uses his inherent studious nature to develop an extremely strategic approach to tennis, taking notes on the habits and tendencies of his opponents thus allowing him to predict their shots before they make them.

Shijo Saikyo no Deshi Kenichi: Yami no Shugeki - 8th April
The Mightiest Disciple Kenichi  - The Attack of Darkness
This will be an OVA series consisting of 11 episodes that will air on Tokyo MX and BS 11.
Due to the broadcast time limit, the on-air version will be edited and a bit shorter than the original OVA version.

Manga is published in Weekly Shonen Sunday.
