Lupin III Live Action Movie

Lupin III is a seinen manga series which ran from 1967 to 1969 in Weekly Manga Action. It was so popular that it spawned a media franchise that includes numerous manga, four anime television series, five animated feature films, a live-action film, three OVAs, yearly television specials since 1989, music CDs, video games, and a musical.

The story follows Arsène Lupin III and his band of thieves as they pull off heist after heist all while being constantly chased by Inspector Koichi Zenigata of the ICPO. 







Lupin's most recent appearance was in a crossover movie with Detective Conan which came out late last year.

This Saturday, 30th August, Lupin III will hit Japanese theatres with its latest live action film.

"The story will follow Lupin and his partners in crime before they became a gang. They will infiltrate the high security of the Ark of Navarone, a gigantic fortress-like safe, to lay claim to the Crimson Heart of Cleopatra within. It is said that whoever possesses this treasure shall unite the world. "

Arsène Lupin III will be potrayed by Shun Oguri.
Lupin III is the grandson of the fictional gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin,
Lupin is cocky, and who despite being a skilled thief, comes off as a goofball that will go to great lengths to right injustice, who also shows a chivalrous streak that compels him to help those less fortunate than he. Furthermore, Lupin often takes it upon himself and his gang to stop criminals engaged in more violent crimes and leave them for Zenigata to arrest. In the anime, while he fancies himself a ladies' man, his actual success with women is erratic, appearing to fluctuate with the writer. 

Daisuke Jigen is potrayed by Tetsuji Tamayama.

Jigen is master thief Arsène Lupin III's right-hand man and an expert marksman. He can perform a 0.3-second quick-draw and has an accuracy that borders on superhuman; he can shoot skeet with a handgun, explode a missile before it hits by targeting the warhead, and deflect another bullet by shooting it in mid-flight.





Goemon Ishikawa XIII will be played by Gō Ayano.

Goemon Ishikawa XIII is the thirteenth generation of renegade samurai, a descendant of the historical figure Ishikawa Goemon. He is usually quiet and participates in Lupin III's exploits less frequently than Jigen.

Fujiko Mine will be embodied by Meisa Kuroki

Fujiko is an extremely intelligent and crafty person and will use her feminine charms to get what she wants from any man. She is also an expert when it comes to firearms and even rivals Lupin when it comes to her burglary skills.









Lastly

Tadanobu Asano will potray Koichi Zenigata

Inspector Koichi Zenigata is an incredibly talented, yet often bumbling police officer who has made it his life's goal to capture Lupin III.
