Ai ni Iku yo is based on Nobumi's Ue wo Muite Arukō! (I look up when I walk down) picture book about the 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster. Nobumi traveled to the
areas affected by the earthquake as a volunteer two weeks after it
struck, and Ue wo Muite Arukō! documents that experience.
It is incredible to have one manga series run in a magazine both two is truly extraordinary. Hajime no Ippo is a great piece of sports manga, Morikawa-sensei's new work will in some ways so a side of a real life catastrophe that happened last year.
